Where Does The Time Go To?!!

Wow!!  Sorry viewers!  I didn't make a post during the whole year of 2018!!  Did nothing interesting happen, to prompt me to come here??!  Actually I had forgotten I had this Blog! LOL  As a New Years resolution for 2019...'I shall try to get to this Blog more often.'  There,  I said it, so you can hold me to it. :)

Here is something new;  I got on here because I wanted to start a new Blog, if you can believe it! This blog is about things in my life in this dimension which contains the world of Earth.  The new blog I'm going to start is going to be about my life in an alternate universe, which contains the world of Nirn. That is where I live in Skyrim on the vast lands of Tamriel.  Now if you don't know what Nirn, Tamriel, and Skyrim are then you don't need to bother to read that blog, because you won't be interested in any of it, or know what I'm talking about. lol

I was in bed last night,  trying to go to sleep,  but my brain was constructing the new blog and going over what all there is to talk about in it.  That is why I can't get to sleep until very late!!  If my brain isn't going over stuff like that, it is designing quilt tops or telling stories to play with new characters I intend to make in my game of Skyrim on YouTube!  The old brain is never still,  but I guess that is a good thing. It's losing memory right and left as it is. I need to let it stay active as much as it wants to!

I picture my brain as a vast room of computers and file cabinets.  The computers are churning out the making of memories,  and those memories are stashed in variously labeled file cabinets. Now,  my brain still knows,  mostly,   which labeled drawer I need to look into when I'm trying to recall something, but if I have to,  like instantly....  like if someone asks me a guestion....  it's more like I'm standing there going..."duh..which one is it in?"   And THAT feels like when I'm talking,  and suddenly everything comes to a screeching halt,  because I suddenly don't remember a word, or totally lost the whole thought about what I was talking about or where it was going. lol

It is a terrible thing...getting old.  And that is when 'time'  really starts to fly by!  Thus, I can forget to come here for a whole year!  But yet, it doesn't seem like very long ago that I made my last post here...uh, about...oh, what was it....I forgot.  LOL    Anyway,  I will try to make an appearance here in a more timely fashion.   (Lets' see how that goes!)  :)

  1. Ooh, I would love to read about your alternate life in Nirn! I'm a rabid reader, have been since I was a tot, and every time I hear you say you're a frustrated writer it pains me because I would love to read those books you haven't written :)

    1. Thank you! I would love to WRITE all those books! lol But I don't have the patients to do that much writing, especially when I discovered I can tell, by commentary, and act, by way of my character, and present a visual story to the viewer, almost instantly, by way of my YouTube site where I publish my recorded role-playing videos of Skyrim. :)

    2. Fair enough :) I'm a long time fan of your youtube channel, I've watched all of your videos and many more than once. That's a testament to your story telling and acting/improv skills, because I don't normally have the patience to take stories in other than by reading and am seldom gripped by visuals outside my own head - but you are the exception to that rule!

  2. I just read the entries in your "Grandma's World of Skyrim" blog after seeing the link under the description section of your YouTube videos. Needless to say, I love those vlog entries! They're very descriptive and immersive. I certainly hope that when you said, "Don't be dropping me comments about your game (about your life there, yes!)" that you don't mind hearing about our lives in Skyrim because that's how I've replied in my comments. I, as well as my alternate self in Nirn, look forward to reading more entries about your alternate life in Nirn. :)

  3. Bahaha! lol. Even you had forgotten about this blog!

I do sometimes wonder how many pages one accumulates around the internet in a lifetim, that they never get back to. I wonder how many Blogs &projects I have out there, that I never got back to? I imagine a few. =P

  4. It is fascinating too, the organization inside the palace of your mind. The suggestion that interrupting flow brings things to a halt, but otherwise the labels to all the cabinets are still in tact. & the passage of time passing more quickly: these are all things everyone describes.

I wonder what the mechanisms are - or if they are merely what it is to have that much experience accumulated. Perhaps everything is working perfectly, and that is just what it looks like at that level.

There will be theories. But as usual, I imagine nobody knows.

    1. Interesting and so true! On thought I have is,....does each person invision the inner workings of their mind differently? Or is it like I describe mine, for everyone?

  5. Grandma you said you would post more often? What happened? Also I experience everything you experience at age 23 so its not so odd. And the way you describe your brain is the exact way Spongebob Squarepants thinks about his brain. LOL
